Top Ten Toon Lists Introduction

Hey out there to the two of you that actually read my introductions to these lists!

I decided to ask people for this list after I read about the National Film Registry putting "Duck Amuck" into their archives. I am a HUGE Warner Brothers fan so I naturally searched their web site to see if "What's Opera Doc?" was there as well. I figured that great as "Duck Amuck" was, it had no place in the National Film Registry if "What's Opera Doc?" wasn't there.

Wonder of wonders, it was. But that got me thinking about that massive category we call animation, so I decided it was time for a new top ten list. I asked the book/movie club and some other MISFITS what their favorites were. My rules were pretty wide open - you could choose individual cartoons (like "Duck Amuck"), full length films (Like "Toy Story 2", which you should ALL GO SEE), or Television series (Like Scooby Doo). That made for a pretty broad category and everyone came up with some really interesting stuff.

Like the Top Ten Films list, all of these are great works of art and I strongly suggest you take the time to see the ones you may have missed. I hope you enjoy reading these lists as much as I do!
