Nathan Favilla's Top Ten Comedies

  1. There's Something About Mary
There are so many things in the movie that are so wrong it's funny. One scene that comes to mind; "Is that hair gel?"

  2. When Harry Met Sally
This one is an all time classic. I'm such a sap for good love stories and comedies and this one takes the cake. Also the diner scene.

  3. Better Off Dead
Dark Comedies are another one of my soft spots. I'm a big fan of this movie and I can never get enough of this one. "I want my TWO DOLLARS!!!"

  4. Risky Business
This is another great one. simply for Guido the Killer Pimp. (Sorry Erin!!)

  5. The Blues Brothers
The first movie developed from a SNL skit and by far the best. The sad thing is that Lorne Michaels should have gotten a clue from this one and not made anymore. 'nuff said.

  6. Anything by Kevin Smith
this includes Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma.

  7. Ferris Buller's Day Off
It's a shame that Matthew Broderick had to drop off the face of the earth for a while after this movie. I think that he's a great comedic actor with great timing.

  8. Animal House
This is by far the best party movie ever made. Find a better one, I dare you. The only thing that saddens me is that John Belushi passed on way before his time.

  9. South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut
I've never felt so guilty for laughing so hard in my life. Can anyone not laugh at Cartman's rendition of his opinion of Kyle's mom? Or the absurdness of Sheila Brovlovski's Blame Canada?

  10. Grosse Pointe Blank
another great Dark Comedy. I love John Cusak and I think that his talents are sometimes misused but this was a great vehicle for him.
