David Christenson's Top Comedies

I don't want to rank things but I'd like to make some suggestions for older comedies, at least a few of which you have probably seen: Dinner at Eight (a comedy with some drama), Bringing Up Baby, His Girl Friday, Ball of Fire, The Philadelphia Story, The Palm Beach Story, Sullivan's Travels, The Miracle of Morgan's Creek, To Be or Not to Be (the original), Beat the Devil, The Bank Dick, It's a Gift, My Man Godfrey, You Can't Take it With You, Arsenic and Old Lace, Destry Rides Again, and a sleeper, Father Was A Fullback. Singing in the Rain while a great musical is also a great comedy, I think.
