Angie Anderson's Top Ten Science Fiction and Fantasy Novels

  1. The Gate to Women's Country - Sheri Tepper
Post holocaust , women and men run separate communities.

  2. Dealing With Dragons - Patricia Wrede
Main character is a fairy tale style princess who doesn't like to do "princessly" things. Very funny.

  3. The Whims of Creation - Simon Hawke
Weird things start happening on a colony ship. Humorous.

  4. The Deed of Paksenarrion - Elizabeth Moon
I agree with what Jason said about this book and series. One of those series in which you occasionally want to reach in and shake some sense into a character or two.

  5. Wizard of 4th Street - Simon Hawke
Light, easy, fun read. What could happen if Merlin and magic came back?

  6. Magician- Apprentice and Master- Raymond Feist
I preferred the first two books (or book ,depending on your printing). I can't seem to put them down every time I pick them up.

  7. The Soprano Sorceress - L. E. Modesitt
Be careful what you wish for.

  8. The Powers That Be - Anne McCaffrey & Elizabeth Ann Scarborough
Colonists from important sphere of influence versus Military Establishment.

  9. Star Ka'at - Andre Norton
I read this as a child and still can't forget it. Where do cats come from?

  10. Barrayar - Lois McMaster Bujold
I particularly like the strength of the female main character and the protectiveness of a mother for her child.
