Star Leap
by Tim Wick

Recent rumors have suggested that Scott Bakula of Quantum Leap is about to make a leap of a different kind as the newest captain of a Star Trek series. We here in the MISFITS bunker have obtained (at great personal cost) the proposed opening Narration to this new series, tentatively titled "Star Leap". Many Bothans died to get us this information.

Proposed Opening Narration for "Star Leap:"

Theorizing that he could boldly go where no man had gone before, Capt. Sam Beckett stepped into his newly commissioned Federation starship with a well integrated male and female crew of highly qualified Starfleet officers and promptly vanished. His crew found themselves trapped in the final frontier, facing new life forms and civilizations that were not their own and driven by the prime directive to refrain from interfering with their natural state of evolution. His only guide for this journey is The Doctor, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Capt. Beckett can see and hear (to the considerable concern of his crew) and a computer who sounds conspicuously like Majel Barrett. And so Capt. Beckett finds himself warping from planet to planet, striving to not put right what once went wrong and hoping the next warp will be the warp home.

Based on his belief that people coming to this site give a rip about his opinion, you have probably guessed that Tim Wick has a pretty big ego. Despite having no experience as a critic, he insists on writing these boorish reviews of movies in a vain attempt to feel more important. Since it allows us to put up new material on the site and keep you all coming back for more, we go ahead and humor him.

We don't know anything about Tim's past. We assume that he just walked out of the west like Cain in Kung Fu, but we don't really care. He is a member of the board of directors for MISFITS and runs the read the book/see the movie club.

Or so he claims...
