Working Meeting Minutes
Thursday, June 28, 2007
Location - MISFITS Office, St. Paul, MN
In Attendance:
MISFITS Coordinators -
Matt, Peter, Jodie, Thomas, Dave
Parties Update
- CVG - The officers
discussed the room party and writing contest. Writing
contest reception will not be in the Literary Lounge. We are
in an atrium. Jodie didn’t order the certificates yet. Matt
will hang up flyers on Thursday night. Masking tape and dvd
player. Matt will bring Metropolis.
Club Updates
- Geek Physique –
Club walks continue. Sponsoring two panels at convergence
(geek aerobics with Cleo and Fitness Theory panel.) We are
pulling the Diabegeek stuff from the website.
- Book/Movie – club
is meeting regularly. Jodie will talk to George about
ramping up his status as a true co-head.
- Crafty Geek – We
need to have dates in place by or at CONvergence. Jodie will
talk to Erica at the convention.
- Geek Reads –
Meetings continue regularly. There is a Geek Reads panel at
CONvergence.
- Gaming – needs a
co-head. Dave is the only person who has been sending a
report.
Program Updates
- In the Schools -
Group agreed to sponsor Erin’s L.’s daughter by placing a
MISFITS ad in her self-published book. Jody Wurl would be
interested in a Regent position in charge of In the Schools. Peter will
email Jodie G. pictures of Bridget for the website.
- Project Giving -
Matt will find out the cost of getting a brick at Como Zoo
for MISFITS. There was discussion about changing the name of
Project Giving (Generous Geeks was suggested) but no formal
name change decision was made.
Web Update
- Jodie’s goal is to
complete the website by the next regents meeting.
Other
- Matt ask Windy what the
password is for the phone.
