Board Election and Annual Meeting Minutes
Sunday, January 22, 2006 - 7:00
PM
Location - Sheraton Bloomington
In Attendance:
64 voting members of
the convention committee, including all five officers and all
seven current board members.
Election
- Windy Bowlsby introduced
Jodie Gustafson, who conducted the meeting.
- Jodie started the election
process and introduced the three judges - Anton and Linda
Petersen and Dave Benhart. By a show of hands, the judges
were approved.
- Emily Stewart submitted a
written proposal to the officers to update the bylaws to
include a literacy (age) requirement. The proposal was
accepted and will be discussed at the working meeting on
January 24th.
- As the judges were handing
out ballots and verifying voting status against a list
prepared by Matt Savelkoul:
- Jodie discussed the
creation of room party forms and mentioned the Trivia
Contest would be April 1st. She also mentioned the creation
of the membership forms and passed out upcoming events
flyers.
- Windy Bowlsby mentioned a
GOT Edutainment update - Snow Tubing sometime in February.
- Thomas Keeley gave a
budget update and reviewed room parties and reimbursement
requests.
- Matt Savelkoul gave a
yearly review of accomplishments, focusing on community
outreach and literacy (In the Schools.)
- Jodie mentioned the
working meeting coming up this Tuesday.
- Jodie then closed the
meeting.
Election Results
- The meeting was reopened
later after most concom business had finished.
- Anton delivered the
election results. One ballot was not signed for. The owner
of the ballot signed for it retroactively.
- All board members up for
reelection were elected. There were 64 ballots passed out
and all ballots had at least one "yes" vote.
- Results as follows:
- Windy Bowlsby (52 votes)
- Perrin Klumpp (49 votes)
- Tim Wick (60 votes)
- Annual Voting Meeting was
adjourned by President Jodie.
