Officer Transition Meeting Minutes
Thursday, July 14th, 2005 - 7:30
PM
Location - MISFITS Office, St. Paul, MN
In Attendance:
Officers - Jodie, Peter, Erica, Thomas (Matt was in CA)
Board - Tim, Windy

Minutes:
- Thomas received from Kate:
deposit slips, checkbook/blank checks
- Items still needed from
Kate: Quicken file, deposit stamp, deposit tickets (for
future deposits) receipts and bank statements
- When emailing Kate we
should use her preferred address – please don’t use her work
address.
- Kate said there is an
outstanding accounting issue for Red Balloon Book Store for
a cancelled check (less than $100). Getting the Red Balloon
gift cards allows them to use the teacher discount. Works
better than writing checks.
- Tonya turned her keys into
Rhonda at the MISFITS picnic. [Handed over to Thomas]
- Kate said the budget
resets Nov. 1st and the Anime Iowa and Icon room parties
still need to be budgeted in.
- In the Schools: doesn’t
appear (in what little information that has been provided to
us) that visits were made to schools. It was suggested that
Erin should send out an email checking with folks just in
case. Kate has a list of In The Schools participants she
will hand over.
- Kate will make an attempt
to get Adam’s keys and notebook including any new contacts
he might have made.
- The former officers had
discussed holding a bowling night for Staff Appreciation
instead of a picnic. No specific date had been scheduled.
- Rex Movie Night: Tonya is
willing to volunteer with this event if she is available.
She will email the postcard templates and mailing list she
used for the first one. [Emailed to Jodie]
- Kare 11 coffee mug: Rhonda
had looked into sending a coffee mug to Kare 11. If they
choose your coffee mug a representative would be able to
come on TV and promote their organization. Tonya would have
been the representative.
- Science Museum Grant: Need
to get information from Rhonda regarding what this was
about.
- Grants: It would be better
to find someone with experience to work on grant writing.
Make sure the grant proposal is for something specific not
general. Contact Kate Brady (Emily’s Mom) as she has grant
writing experience.
- LAN Gaming Club: It was
suggested that we should contact the organization that
donated computers for gaming at CVG to for a possible club
collaboration.
- Dave will send any past
minutes and open meeting signup sheets he has to Matt and
Jodie.
- Tonya gave us her new
address and her preferred email address
- Tim suggested we have
sorbet (his fave is lemon) at the Ice Cream Social. Everyone
agreed a diabetic/vegan option should be available.
- Bruce Campbell will be
showing a movie at the Oak Street Cinema – it would be a
nice thing to post on the MISFITS web site
