Karaoke Night 4.1 Upgrade extremely popular!

Well, we did it again.

Once more we stretched the limits of good taste in our efforts to create another evening of Karaoke fun. This time, we even decided to include Karaoke. The evening was our most well attended Karaoke night yet and we would like to thank all 90+ people who stopped by. We had a great time with all of you and clearly you were all having a good time as well.

Our DJ Robb Rolloff was once again amazed at how many people actually wanted to participate in the event. He had about eight requests lined up from 8:00 until we shut down at midnight. There were many highlights, but here are the performance winners for the evening (in no order of preference):

The Jar Jar Binks award

Awarded to William Shatner (Bill Hetrick) and Alanis Morrisette (Denise - um - something) for their painful rendition of Summer Lovin'

Virgin Award

Given to the best newcomer performance. This was tough, but we gave it to Jody Wurl for her great job with I Love Rock and Roll.

Super Hero Award

Our very own DJ, Robb Rolloff got this award because he knew everyone wanted to do the Time Warp and decided that he would just have to get up and sing it himself.

Hot Dish Award

Denise - um -something (we do meticulous research for these reports) did a great Fargoesque rending of My Way She was rewarded for her efforts.

As with all other Karaoke nights, we had a cash bar that helps pay for the room. If we sell $300 in drinks the room is free. For the first time since we started the Karaoke Night tradition, we crossed that $300 threshold. In fact, we crossed the $1000 threshold! We are thinking of seeing if we can get a refund for the last event (just kidding)! Thanks to everyone who bought drinks and thanks to all the designated drivers who made sure those people got home safely.

We were also collecting food for the Aliveness project and are happy to report that we collected over 50 lbs. of food!
